The essays and photographs in this book explore the story of Brooklyn Aikikai’s first twenty years from many different perspectives. You will hear from students, visiting teachers, and Zen practitioners telling about their experiences here in the dojo and how those experiences shaped their lives. The photographs and artwork tell the story visually — the people who have shaped this place and how this place has been shaped by them. Brought together in one volume of close to 200 pages, these works look back at the last 20 years and invite us to imagine what lies ahead in the next decades. This book will be something to treasure. We are doing a very limited run of this book. Only 200 will be printed.
