Hi all - who / where do y'all get your body work done?!

I went to Zhengyuanyuan Footcare on 189 Court St recently and the foot massage was pretty good, and decently priced ($40 for 50m).

Looking for full body, manual therapy, ideally near-ish dojo.

Happy to spend more for the right therapist, but also interested in the cheap, hidden gems!

Yesterday we did this technique Aihanmi katatedori Ikkyo Ura Sankyo Ura. After the Ikkyo Ura do you allow Uke to Stand up before the Sankyo?

A number of folks have been asking where to get the silk style obi for iaido. This is the style that Sensei wears - not the style that I wear. For the last few years, we have been able to find these on Etsy. The name of this type of belt is a 'heko obi.' My understanding is it is just a men's style obi that is traditionally worn with a kimono that we have used for iaido practice.

If you use link below, you should see a number of results, most of which are not appropriate for our training. Only look for obi that are the same as what you see other's using in class, the dark navy style. The cost should be between $35 and $70 depending on age and quality. A few people have asked me where I usually get sword cleaning supplies and other items. Below are places I have ordered from in the past that worked out well. They will have other iaido equipment in case you need it (obi - not the blue silk heko obi most of our dojo wear, mekugi - pegs, menuki - tsuka ornamentation...). Hope this helps.
